Ronda Rousey: Breaking Ground- more of a quick Rousey ass-kiss than a real documentary. Felt rushed. The Angry Red Planet- classic monster-style sci-fi flick from back in the day. Not unenjoyable, but very red. Stormy Weather- Classic musical from the 40s, mostly about black song and dance. Good, old-fashioned retro dance numbers from an era of film long lost. The Croods- thought this would be crude, with scat humour all over the place, but it wasn't at all. They meant crude in the sense of primitive, not of fart jokes. I appreciated that and enjoyed the movie.

American Hustle - seemed really long and a bit confusing

I watched that. I found it just okay, and pretty over-hyped. I like Christian Bale and Amy Adams though. I also dislike David O. Russell. Quite the douche.

Watched Dallas Buyers Club last night. Really good movie based on actual events. McConaughey looked disgusting, can't believe he lost that much weight for the role.

Yes, I totally agree. Dallas Buyers Club was something I thought would be okay, but not something I thought too much of until I saw it. Though I donno if I would call it "Best Picture of the Year", I definitely thought it was better than the big 2 hype-machine award movies this year (Wolf of Wall Street and American Hustle). I donno if I liked it better than 12 Years a Slave though...probably really close. Both good movies, true stories, and a little depressing.

I've got Wolf of Wall Street and 12 Years a Slave but haven't watched either yet. Probably next weekend. I'll let you know when I do and what I think.

Yeah, definitely do. In other news, I watched Dr. Goldfoot and the Bikini Machine last night...with Vincent Price as Dr. Goldfoot. Yes, it was as delightful as it sounds.
